Step 2: Producing your Music!

Once our students have learned an instrument(s), have a good grasp at how to write, read and perform your music, and are feeling confident enough to go into the studio - it’s time to take the next step.

Here at Spiderhands Productions, our aim is to help our students to
- Record and Produce music,
- get it Mixed & Mastered,
and to do so in a way that is
- Affordable,
- Efficient,
- Comfortable,
- and Professional.

In our studio, we have everything you'll need to record guitar, drums, bass, piano, vocals, and any other instruments that you want to include within your creations.

We use professional-grade DAWs (like FL Studio and Reaper) and hardware to ensure professional-grade multi-track recording, and we can also provide session musicianship services, as and when needed.

Finally - while we are currently only offering production services to our students, we do plan on opening up to outside clients, once we’ve finished work on our new studio in Lytteton Street, Spreydon.

Get Guitar, Bass, Drum, Piano and/or Ukulele tracks recorded for your songs!
- $60 per hour
- We play a variety of genres
- Chord charts, tablature and notation are welcome

Session
Performance

Get your Single, EP or Album professionally mixed and Mastered!
- Our rates start at $99 p/track mixed and Mastered (depending on complexity of arrangement)!
- Delivery within 72hrs
- Multiple versions included in Master set (16bit-44.1&48 + 24bit-96khz HQ)

Finally, our Studio FAQ section:

  • We prefer to get to know our clients before we commit to recording a single, EP or album for them. Additionally, we want to ensure that our students understand the process of producing music, so that they understand the decisions that are made and also have agency over the final product, in a healthy and transparent environment.

  • Specifically for recording, it really depends on the scope of your project, though we typically have more flexibility over the school holiday periods. For mixing and mastering, we’re available 6 days a week. Contact us for more info!

  • Our Music Studio is located in Lyttelton Street, Spreydon. Our studio has everything needed for clients to record, produce and engineer music.

  • For the students that we work with, we charge $60 per hour. Mixing and mastering of tracks is at an additional cost.

    We typically charge a combined rate of $99 per song mix/Mastered, though it depends on the complexity of the work involved.

    Session musicianship is a separate cost (in order to prepare for recording sessions) and is billed at a minimum of $60 p/hr.

    It’s also worth noting that we do not transfer any files until we receive payment in full for our work (we can provide access to previews before final confirmation, though)

  • You have two options:

    1) You can pay via cash or EFTPOS - in person, at the end of each session,

    OR

    2) You can pay via direct-debit (SPIDERHANDS PRODUCTIONS LIMITED, 06-0942-0352165-00)

    A friendly reminder here that we do not deliver final masters of tracks until we have been paid beforehand. All clients receive a private link to hear their track beforehand, to approve it and then feel comfortable with paying for it.

  • Please give us at least 12 hours notice for the cancellation. If we don’t receive adequate notice for a cancellation, we may not be able to offer services to clients beyond that date.
